2022–23 Tundra & LX V6 engine replacements has yours happened yet?

I just came across some reports from last May, and wow, it looks like Toyota is swapping out over 100,000 turbo-V6 engines in the 2022–23 Tundra pickups and Lexus LX SUVs because of some machining debris issues. They're handling it with full engine replacements at no charge, but it seems like there's still no word on when that's happening

Has anyone here actually had the replacement done? Did your dealer hook you up with a loaner car or give you any kind of timeline? I'd really love to hear your experiences

Kinda in the same boat, glad you brought this up, dealer confirmed I'm on the list, but no clear timeline yet, they said I'll get a loaner when the engine comes in but people have had theirs done already and it seems smooth so far, just a couple days in the shop

The repair takes about 13 to 21 hours, and many dealerships offer loaner cars while you wait, but that can vary by location.. If your truck or SUV is affected, its best to call your dealer and get on the schedule. Have you checked if your VIN is on the list yet?
